Patane • Gumberg, LLPs' Labor and Employment Department handles all types of matters in this area of the law. Our client services include representation for ALRB & NLRB matters, labor arbitration, collective bargaining, wage and hour, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.
Personal Injury
We represent both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases utilizing our litigation expertise and experience. The attorneys in this Department utilize alternative dispute resolution forums such as mediation and arbitration when feasible, while also exercising their refined and premiere trial skills.
Civil Litigation

This Department also provides insurance defense services to some of the major insurance carriers in the Monterey County.
Construction
Our Construction Department represents contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners in a wide variety of construction issues. Often we are called upon to negotiate and draft construction contracts, resolve bidding disputes, advise and facilitate mechanic's liens, stop notices and various types of bonds. We also handle construction defect issues, licensing issues and alternative dispute resolution services.

Real Estate
The Real Estate Department at Patane • Gumberg, LLP represents clients in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions from negotiating the sale or purchase agreement, to completing the closing. We are often called upon to draft and review contracts, perform title examination services, partitions, and acquisitions.
Insurance Coverage
Patane • Gumberg, LLPs' Insurance Coverage Department also known as California Coverage Counsel, provides specialized legal services in the area of insurance coverage and loss resolution. We assist our clients in interpreting their insurance policies, interacting with their insurance company and providing general guidance regarding all insurance issues.
Workers' Compensation
Our Workers' Compensation Department is devoted exclusively to workers' compensation defense. We handle all aspects of defense cases up to and including trials and appeals.
